Rotterdam Photo 2026

“Love Letters from the War” will be presented at the Rotterdam Photo as part of the 2026 theme “Echoes of Silence – War in the Artist’s Soul.” Inspired by Rotterdam’s history as a port city, selected artists exhibit their work in repurposed shipping containers, creating a setting that steps outside the traditional white cube.

Taking place alongside Unseen Photo Fair during Art Rotterdam, the Book Market is hosted by the Nederlands Fotomuseum, recently reopened in the historic Pakhuis Santos from March 25 – 29, 2026.

The exhibition will feature a multi-layered installation combining film, historical black-and-white images, artefacts and the book.
