About

“Through my work, I hope to show the presence of goodness and beauty in the world. Often, it’s quiet and hidden. But it’s there. My work is grounded in the belief that love and beauty—subtle, resilient, and deeply human—can guide us through even the darkest of days.”

Hanno is a photographer, trained at the Fotoacademie Amsterdam, focussing on autonomous documentary projects. After a career as a management consultant, he dedicate himself to visual storytelling. His first photobook The Art of Consulting portrayed the reality of his former work—honest and raw.

For the past two years, he has been exploring the connection between classic photography and artificial intelligence to create images of situations that do not or no longer exist in the real world. His photographic knowledge flows directly into the control of the AI.

His current project love letters from the war, tells the true love story of his German grandfather. By combining original letters and photographs from the 1940s with AI-generated images, a timeless narrative emerges—one of hope, intimacy, and humanity—that merges the past with imagination.
