The Apprentice Diary

The Apprentice Diary is an artist's book of abstract black-and-white images, made with AI as my apprentice. I gave it direction, drawing on the grain, blur, shadow, and snapshot composition of Japanese street photographers, Tatsuo Suzuki, Daidō Moriyama, Miho Kajioka. The apprentice executed under my guidance, but with its own freedom.​ The experiment was to see whether a visual story could still be told from what came back.
