Cracks are scary, threatening stability. We don’t want cracks. Cracks make us feel uncomfortable. Cracks make us aware how time passes and everything deteriorates. Cracks in the wall. Cracks in our lives. But when we have a closer look at cracks, they are beautiful. They create new shapes. Unwanted, but unique. Something beautiful can emerge from cracks. Giving new life. Offering new perspectives, new opportunities. Cracks give shape, color and form. Cracks show what is beneath. Cracks expose the inside. Sometimes just for a short moment before we put new paint on top. Cracks are what our life is all about. Who wants a smooth shapeless surface after all?
